It’s still tiring that all these “THIS IS A FIGHT BETWEEN MEN” moments tend to spring up as a result of some girl or woman being a dumb girl or woman who doesn’t understand the noble rules of battle or whatever. Like, the only time I can think of when it was a dude trying to step in was when Johnny and Yosaku tried to fight Mihawk with/for Zoro, and that was a million years ago. Like, this girl literally just appears, interferes, gets yelled at, and then Luffy takes her and her underlings out with Emperor’s Haki. Nice.
HOWEVER seeing Katakuri willing to fuckin’ stab himself to even the situation because he stabbed Luffy unfairly in his own opinion makes me like him even more. There’s a guy with a strong moral code, even in a fight between pirates. I appreciate that.
